The following is a letter to the Editor of the Reno Gazette which they wouldn't print.

The INFO-OCTOPUS reaches very far, indeed.

Dear Editor:

The letters that you print, relative to the 2nd Amendment, do not consider the fact that the entire reason for the First Ten Amendments, voted by our Founding Fathers, was to protect all Citizens from State AND Federal Governments.

When I was a young boy in Southern California, in 1941, one morning, I found that my playmates, who were Citizens, but of Japanese descent, had been removed from their properties and shipped off to concentration camps, with U.S. Supreme Court approval.

One result of that outrageous human rights violation was that I began to question the proposition that a branch of the Federal Government, The Supreme Court, can be the final judge in such matters. That branch of the government, the Supreme Court, is in gross Conflict of Interest , by ruling on government violations of constitutional rights.

How can a branch of government rule, impartially, on government transgressions?

Isn't that a violation of due process? Is not a Conflict of Interest , in violation of the Common Law, on which our whole justice system is based ?

The 2nd Amendment was created, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights, to protect the people from government. Our first Citizens knew that the people had to be keep and bear arms, and know how to use them, in case the States needed to overthrow an oppressive government. How can government courts rule on the matter impartially? Isn't that, also, a gross conflict of interest?

Haven't we heard of the courts handing down decisions, in matters of the 4th, 2nd, and other Amendments, as being " the over-riding, best interest of the government"? In each case, there is this same conflict of interest of having a branch of government rule on government actions.

Can we discuss the Bill of Rights in context? It was adopted to protect the people from government and for no other reason.
